We had a good time Sunday evening February 10 at the Children's Valentine's Banquet. At first, I thought we were not going to have much of a crowd, but as the group from vespers was leaving, we invited them in to have dinner with us. Many of them joined us. We had a total of 35 people at the banquet. The dinner of spaghetti with meatballs, bread, salad, and dessert was marvelously prepared by our adult helpers. As always, the J4J puppet team gave an outstanding performance. This team is dedicated to what they do and enjoy performing. With bellies full, spirits blessed, and hearts entertained, everyone went home giving thanks.

Events like these are never possible without the help of many. Joan Vassey and Alana Partin helped plan the event. Marvin and Yvette Smith, Melinda Schnell, Susan Wait, Joan Vassey, Chuck and Stephanie Jervis, and Dylan Welborn helped in the kitchen, setting up, and serving. Of course, a performance with 11 songs (including black light) takes a lot of preparation in rehearsal and setup. A big thank you to all the puppeteers who gave up their afternoon and evening to set up and perform: Ashleigh Smith, Erica Smith, Griffin Wait, Leah Schnell, Madison Wait, Sam Jervis, and Seaver Wait. They are a great group to work with! The team would like to thank Susan Wait for helping with sound, and Dylan Welborn for working the video camera. You are all a blessing to me and those you serve.
