2008 Children Easter Celebration

On Sunday, March 16 (Palm Sunday), after the morning worship service, the children gathered in the Candler center for our annual Easter celebration. 39 children and adults attended the event this year.

The event began with a hotdog lunch. After lunch, everyone took part in a reenactment of the Palm Sunday story of Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem. After the reenactment, the children and adult broke into groups to go on a scavenger hunt that lead them all to the cross at the front of the church. There they heard the story of Jesus' death and resurrection. Afterwards, everyone returned to the Candler Center for art activities. The children had several choices of art activities.

It was a great day of celebration! A good time was had by all!
